Bakers & Takers

One of the purposes of this ministry is to show the genuine care and friendliness of the Oakwood family in a non-threatening way. We do this every Sunday by delivering a fresh baked good to our visitors’ homes. Bakers: Call to volunteer to bake a fresh item attractively wrapped for Sunday delivery. Greet, welcome, and provide requested information and direction to guests and people of Oakwood at the 9:15 & 10:45 services. Library Ministry

To provide meals and possibly child care to families who are enduring sickness or death within the family. This ministry is to reach people that are not plugged into a Sunday School or Small Group but could use a helping hand to lighten their load; a light to their present darkness. Prayer Ministry

The Intercessory Prayer Ministry provides one of our most vital support ministries and is staffed by volunteer Prayer Warriors. Our members commit to one hour each week to pray for the needs of our church, our staff, our members, the local community, the state, the country, and missions and missionaries. Oakwood has only one opportunity to make a good impression for our first time guests. The usher ministry is a vital link in establishing a great first impression. The primary responsibility is to make the worship experience enjoyable for our guests. Pass out worship guides with a smile and a handshake and help collect the morning offering.
