Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s season and enjoyed time with your family and friends. I am certain there are many things before you in your life, as there are before the Lord’s Church. 2012 for Oakwood is going to be a great year of preparation as we see the new Children’s Building being built, and as we celebrate our 30th anniversary as a church in New Braunfels. I would like to remind you on January 4th, at 6:30pm, in the Main Worship Center, we will have our Annual Meeting. We will be approving certain positions of leadership in the church and an update of our by-laws. I will also be giving some updates and sharing some challenges that we hope to face this year. The meeting should not be long, but we hope it will be inspirational and informative to you.
On Sunday, January 8th we will kick off the new year with our theme for 2012, “Adding Value.” Our focus throughout the year will be on how we can make additions in our relationships and avoid making subtractions. I hope you will be here Sunday for our kick off on January 8th. Also, this Sunday, if you have not picked up your Love at Last Sight book we should have one available for you. We will begin talking in our worship services, as well as in Small Groups, about this powerful book and the message of how to better love the people that we will see last in this life. This can be truly transformational in your life. I hope you will be a part of it.
