Therefore, here at Oakwood, we want to do everything we can to prepare you for marriage, help your marriage grow, and if necessary, facilitate restoring your marriage.

The World has taught us to put more emphasis on preparing for the wedding day than preparing for a lifetime of marriage. Marriage is one of the most incredible and most challenging journeys you will ever embark on. The Bible tells us we would be wise to count the cost and prepare ourselves for this life-altering commitment. If you are engaged to be married, sign up for one of our premarital classes. We offer Merge for first-time marriages and Marrying Again for people who have been previously married.
Merge
Merge is a premarital discipleship ministry designed for engaged couples. It’s a chance to seek wisdom and receive counsel about marriage in a safe, fun, and authentic environment. Merge addresses common questions and challenges from a biblical perspective. There is weekly homework and small group discussions over a 9-week period. Cost is $25 per couple (each person will receive a workbook)

Therefore, pre-marital counseling for couples who choose to marry again is vitally important. In 6 sessions “Marrying Again” will address topics that need to be carefully considered before a second marriage.
